The future of railway communication

Future Railway Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) is the future 5G-based communication system for the railways in Europe. It is being developed jointly by the International Union of Railways (UIC) and companies in the railway industry and is co-financed by the European Union.

GSM-R

The digital train radio communication network GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communication for Railways) is the current communication standard in European rail transport to ensure network interoperability.

Test equipment, train radio technology, passenger information systems, terminals and control elements: Through our international projects with major railway operators and manufacturers, we have acquired broad expertise in a wide range of technologies (not only) in rail transport. This also includes knowledge of hardware components and systems that are no longer produced today or are from a different manufacturer. We provide repair, service and maintenance for your systems, giving them a longer life cycle. For you as a railway operator, this offers the advantage of investment security for your existing installations and systems.

Theory and practice

In one-day or multi-day training courses with both theoretical basics and sufficient time for practical exercises, we make you fit to handle our Funkwerk products. Our seminars take place in small groups of participants so that we can also respond to individual questions about specific projects. Of course, we also offer company and project-specific training courses tailored to your needs.
