The radio module LRM-1 is a transmitting and receiving unit for voice and data transmission outside the GSM-R radio range. It is used for intra-railway train radio communication between stationary subscribers and mobile radio subscribers or between mobile radio subscribers themselves
The system is designed for use on railway vehicles and is not intended for private use. It is connected to a train radio system (MESA 23, MESA 25, MESA 26) and activated via its control unit. The network selection is automatically activated by setting the corresponding operating mode in the radio system.
