Funkwerk has the NETSi.1 (GSM-R Network Simulator) was developed as a tool for the maintenance, testing and commissioning of GSM-R end devices. By simulating any GSM-R network, terminal devices can be tested end-to-end without requiring or influencing a real GSM-R network. This makes it easy to test emergency call functions, for example.
It is operated via a 7“ touchscreen and is available in several languages. A built-in rechargeable battery enables the device to operate autonomously for at least 2 hours. The successful test is documented in a log, which can be exported.
The NETSi.1 can be controlled via a remote control connection from ETK train radio test devices* and tests can therefore be carried out centrally on multi-mode train radio systems.
