TAU test adapter UIC

TEST SYSTEM FOR CAB RADIOS

Funkwerk has developed the TAU test adapter as a tool for the maintenance, testing and commissioning of train radio systems. The TAU test adapter is a device for quick and easy testing of the correct connection of a train radio system to the railway car through line in accordance with UIC leaflet 558.

The TAU consists of a sturdy plastic housing in which the electronics and power supply are housed. It is powered by three 9 V batteries.

The UIC TAU 15 test cable must be used for the connection to the UIC wagon through line. The cable has a 13-pin round plug on one end for connection to the vehicle's UIC coupling and a 25-pin plug connector on the other end for connecting the TAU and the vehicle earth. The cable length is 15 metres.
