The MTRS 1+A RSH is a terminal device designed for operation in the GSM-R network and analogue radio network in accordance with UIC 751-3 (450 MHz) for train radio/shunting radio and data radio applications. It fulfils the European requirements for use on rail vehicles.
MESA 23: The universal system architecture includes uniform and standardised interfaces and modules that are designed as 19“ plug-in cards, guaranteeing quick and easy module changes.
The MTRS 1+A RSH contains the digital and analogue transceiver, the control unit, the interface modules and the power supply. The CON/IFOT module forms the central control unit. It controls the radio connection, regulates the call priorities, controls the control units, the module for the digital and analogue train radio, the additional data applications and the interface modules.
The terminal device operates in accordance with GSM 05.05 Phase 2+ in the GSM frequency range in the following frequencies:
Transmission frequency range873 to 915 MHz
Reception frequency range918 to 960 MHz
The MTRS 1+A RSH realises full train radio functionality in conjunction with the control units, handsets and loudspeakers. The standard version can also be equipped with the following components:
IFS module with 2 serial interfaces for data transmission
IFS-A module with a serial interface for data transmission and an interface for connecting external radio modules
UIC module for connection to the through line in accordance with UIC 568 (PA/Intercon).
