The CR26P central unit is a train radio device for GSM-R radio networks and ensures operational communication for the train driver. The CR26P can be expanded with an ARM26P/x analogue radio device to create a dual-mode train radio device for voice radio/shunting radio and data radio applications. The CR26P fulfils the Protection class IP54. It fulfils the European requirements for use in rail vehicles.
The CR26P is the main component of a digital train radio system. It contains the digital transmitter and receiver unit, the control unit, the interface modules for connecting external devices and the internal power supply. The CON26 module forms the central control unit. It controls the radio connection, regulates the call priorities, controls the control units, the module for the digital train radio, the data applications and the interface modules. Software, configuration and diagnostic data for the CR26P can be read out and updated both via the LAN interface and via the air interface.
The terminal device operates in accordance with GSM 05.05 Phase 2+ and in the extended GSM / GSM-R frequency range in the following frequencies:
Transmission frequency range: 873 to 915 MHz
Reception frequency range: 918 to 960 MHz
The CR26P realises the EIRENE functionality in conjunction with the control units, handsets and loudspeakers. The standard version is equipped with the following components:
