Colour touch display with anti-reflective protective glass

The MMIIB control unit of the MESA 26 train radio family is designed for menu-guided control of digital and analogue train radio. It fulfils the requirements for use on rail vehicles and is designed for console installation in the driver's cab. With the aid of an intercom system consisting of a handset and loudspeaker, the train driver is able to carry out a wide range of communication tasks.

Funkwerk control panels are developed in accordance with specifications and European standards and are characterised by their innovative and intuitive user guidance. Functions that can be carried out without orientation on the display can be executed using hardkeys. Functions that are carried out on the display can be controlled using softkeys. This makes operation easier for the user and also allows the flexibility to make functional changes without the need for hardware.

The design of the button symbols is based on DIN CLC/TS 50459-5:2008-05; VDE V 0831-459-5:2008-05 Part 5.

The MMIIB has a 10.1” colour touch display with anti-reflective protective glass and 2 buttons (hard keys) with a fixed function. The emergency call button is equipped with a gripping protection. The following functions are designed as hard keys:

All other operating functions are activated via softkeys. The functional assignment of the softkeys is shown in the immediately adjacent area of the display and depends on the radio system set and the current menu level.
