Large orders for focX^®2 GSM-R handhelds

Kölleda, 12 February 2025 - It is with great pleasure that we announce that our new GSM-R Handheld focX®2 was successfully launched on the Polish market. The official market release took place during InnoTrans 2024, the world's leading trade fair for transport technology. At the same time, we were able to secure two major orders from DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH and Irish Rail, which will be relying on our tried-and-tested second generation of OPH/OPS handheld radios in the coming years.

DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH has already ordered 1,160 units, which will be delivered in 2024. In addition, a total of 2,400 devices, including maintenance, will be delivered to Irish Rail over the next eight years.

The focX®2 Handheld is the latest addition to our successful focX®-product range. It was specially developed for professional mobile communication applications in the railway sector and fulfils all European standards for the use of handheld radios. It is the world's first GSM-R terminal to have integrated filters that fulfil the interference immunity requirements of TS 102-933, v2.1.1. This guarantees reliable and interference-free GSM-R communication under all conditions.
