Group sales increase by EUR 23.2 % year-on-year to EUR 94.3 million; EBIT improves from EUR 6.7 million to EUR 11.7 million

Incoming orders totalled EUR 92.2 million (previous year: EUR 112.4 million); order backlog increased to EUR 276.1 million (previous year: EUR 211.3 million)

Forecast for full year 2025 confirmed: Sales expected to increase to between € 190 million and € 200 million and EBIT between € 20 million and € 25 million

Kölleda, 28 August 2025 - Funkwerk AG, one of the leading technology providers of professional communication, information and security systems as well as technical services, continued its positive business performance in the second quarter of 2025 and delivered good results in a volatile environment. Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, fluctuating tariffs and trade restrictions, which led to growing economic uncertainty, the Group performed well in the first half of 2025.

The Group sales increased by EUR 23.2 % to EUR 94.3 million compared to the same period of the previous year (previous year: EUR 76.5 million). This was due to the high order backlog as a result of large-volume new framework agreements from the previous year. By the end of June 2025, the Group-wide Incoming orders 92.2 million (previous year: EUR 112.4 million), the Order backlog increased to 276.1 million euros (previous year: 211.3 million euros). Limburg-based Sicherheitstechnik Hillebrand & Lotz GmbH, which was acquired by Funkwerk on 15 November 2024, was included in the financial statements for the first time as at 30 June 2025.

The operating result (EBIT) in the Funkwerk Group improved significantly year-on-year from EUR 6.7 million to EUR 11.7 million in the first six months of 2025, primarily as a result of the higher sales volume and the resulting high capacity utilisation. In addition, the increasing acceptance of the new business model in the area of security solutions is leading to better cost allocation. After taxes, the Funkwerk Group reported a net profit for the period of € 8.3 million by mid-2025 (previous year: € 3.6 million).

The Net assets and financial position. The equity ratio improved to 60.2 % at mid-year (31.12.2024: 57.8 %), while cash and cash equivalents increased from 48.9 million euros as at 31.12.2024 to 49.5 million euros. Cash flow from operating activities rose to EUR 4.5 million in the reporting period after EUR 3.2 million in the same period of the previous year.

The number of Employees amounted to 804 employees (including trainees) across the Group on 30 June 2025, compared to 759 on the previous year's reporting date and 773 at the end of 2024.

For the Full year 2025 the Executive Board of Funkwerk AG continues to expect an increase in sales to between € 190 million and € 200 million (2024: € 178.4 million), to which all four divisions are expected to contribute, and an operating result in the range of € 20 million to € 25 million (2024: € 23.5 million). The positive outlook is underpinned by the long-term corporate strategy, the strong order backlog and the stable financial basis.
