Funkwerk AG takes over VIPRO.sys GmbH

Kölleda, 29 June 2021 - Funkwerk AG, a leading technology provider of professional communication, information and security systems, is acquiring the shares in VIPRO.sys GmbH, Leipzig, from Scanvest Deutschland GmbH as part of a share deal. The customers of VIPRO.sys, which specialises in the development and sale of software-supported building and security management, include industrial companies, public authorities and institutions. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

With the acquisition of VIPRO.sys GmbH, Funkwerk is pursuing the strategic goal of expanding its product portfolio for integrated solutions in the smart building and smart mobility sector. The expertise of the Leipzig team will make a significant contribution to this. Based on the VIPRO.sys solution, a superordinate management platform is being created via which various applications can be controlled and managed using a standardised user interface. This includes applications such as video systems, intruder and fire alarm systems, access and billing systems and information and public address systems that are used in control centres and operations centres. Funkwerk AG is thus responding to the increasing trend towards software and complete solutions and is expanding its capacities in the area of software.
