Funkwerk AG takes over Limburg-based Sicherheitstechnik Hillebrand & Lotz GmbH in Diez

Kölleda, 15 November 2024 - Funkwerk AG, a leading technology provider of professional communication, information and security systems as well as technical services, is taking over Limburg-based Sicherheitstechnik Hillebrand & Lotz GmbH (Limburger) in Diez near Limburg, an established VdS-certified installer of security technology systems. The previous sole shareholder Wilhelm Lotz is selling the company for reasons of age. The purchase agreement was signed today and the economic transfer is expected to take place on 2 January 2025. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Limburger specialises in the planning, installation and maintenance of high-quality security systems. Since 1988, the company has been offering customised solutions in the areas of burglar and fire alarm systems, video surveillance, access control and locking systems. As a certified specialist company listed with the Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate State Criminal Investigation Offices, Limburger places particular emphasis on quality and reliability. With an experienced team, the company provides customised security concepts for companies and private customers and guarantees the highest standards in the field of security technology.

Within the Funkwerk Group, Limburger will in future operate as an independent GmbH under the umbrella of Funkwerk Security Solutions GmbH (FSS), a subsidiary of Funkwerk AG. The seamless continuation of operations will be ensured by Limburger's established operational management team, which will remain with the company. FSS is a leading provider of integrated security systems for critical infrastructures, industry and public institutions.

With over 50 years of experience, the company develops customised solutions based on its own software platforms in the areas of video surveillance and hazard management. FSS offers comprehensive service and support at its nine locations throughout Germany and stands for „Security Made in Germany“. The acquisition of Limburger will enable FSS to expand its market presence in the important Rhine-Main region, allowing it to serve its customers on a broader basis and tap into new market potential. Limburger's more than 35 years of expertise in the areas of fire and intrusion detection systems optimally complements FSS's existing competences.
